We are a USA based engineering and technology driven company and the world leader in the product lines we manufacture. The company is headquartered in USA with its main manufacturing plant in New Jersey. For our India operations, we are starting a state of the art manufacturing facility in Surendranagar,100 kms from Ahmedabad. For our India plant, we are looking for HR Director, a top level senior management position reporting directly to the Head of India operation. This is a challenging and highly visible role where you will be contributing significantly to a growing organization.

Responsibilities

  • Head the HR department and handle all aspects of Human Resources as it relates to a manufacturing company.
  • Identify and develop recruitment and retention strategies which attract highly competent individuals and reduce hiring costs and turnover.
  • Lead the development of HR policies and practices. This will involve researching best practices and current legal requirements, rewriting policies and overseeing employee communications.
  • Ensure legal and regulatory compliance to local employment and labor laws.
  • Provide leadership in delivering high quality employee appreciation events, activities and awards that facilitate a friendly work environment.
  • Consult with employees and Managers as needed to improve work relationships and investigate and resolve employee concerns promptly.
  • Counsel Head of India Operation on all employee issues. Liaison with Head of Human Resources at headquarters in New Jersey.
  • Hire two HR Executives to create a strong Human Resources team.

Requirements

  • MBA from a good Business School, preferably in Human Resources or Industrial Relations.
  • 3-7 years HR experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • Broad knowledge and experience in various human resource functions including: recruitment and retention of top talent, organizational development, benefits and compensation practices, training, talent management, and performance management is required.
  • Ability to think globally, assess needs quickly, and recommend and drive appropriate solutions.
  • Ability to earn trust, build relationships at all levels of an organization, work through influence, and create a positive work culture.
  • A fun-loving person, interested in international trends, modern management techniques, world events and someone who is at ease in dealing with the customers, colleagues and superiors in the USA.

Mechanical Engineer

Design and implement tools and fixtures for production assembly operations using Solidworks and lathe and milling machine operations; Troubleshoot and provide technical guidance in manufacturing operations of flexible shaft assemblies and determine manufacturing tolerance using statistical methods; Assist and instruct laser marking operations in manufacturing using Nd.-Yag laser.
